Education Series: Forum on Contractor’s License, Renewal, Increasing limits, more
Builders, remodelers, and trades contractors licensed for projects above $25,000 are invited to this special forum to discuss topics related to your license including renewals, increasing monetary limits, and requirements to maintain your license such as insurance certificates, financial audits, and reviews.
We will not have all the answers at this session but will gather your questions and work on responses as soon as possible. However, there is a good chance other contractors have faced the same challenges and will be able to share their experiences and results at the forum.
If you are a licensed contractor as defined below and have questions we encourage you to attend and participate.
A Contractor's license is required for projects $25,000 or more, when acting as one of the following:
Prime Contractor - Bidding or contracting directly with the “owner” of the project for all types of classifications;
Subcontractors – Contracting directly with any contractor (not to the owner) to perform the following:
Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and *Roofing; Masonry subs for projects $100,000 and up (includes all materials, equipment, and labor).
Construction Management – When the value of the project is $25,000 or more.
