Builders & developers in Knox County are encouraged to attend a special presentation about Advance Knox delivered by staff of Knoxville-Knox County Planning. If you have specific questions or concerns about Advance Knox please submit them to HBA staff in advance so the presentation team can prepare for them. The presentation will be held at the HBAGK office.

Advance Knox is an effort to define a vision and create a plan that will guide growth, land use, transportation, economic prosperity, and quality of life in the County for years to come. 

This process is the first time Knox County has created an integrated land use and transportation plan, and it has the potential to be transformative. It is crucial that this plan be built on the values, needs, and aspirations of people throughout the county, and be supported by good data.

Draft Final Plan and Map
The draft Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan defines new types of places for future development, provides an updated land use map and transportation recommendations, identifies priority investment areas for new park facilities, and outlines policy recommendations.
